The Directors

Noah Harald
Noah began making short films in the fifth grade. In college, he met his partner, Kenny Meehan, and they began making commercials and music videos for APG Records. Stalemate is the second feature he has written and directed. He has attended and dropped out of  both the U. C. Santa Cruz and the U. S. C. Film Schools. Currently, he is giving the Los Angeles Film School a shot.

Kenny Meehan

Kenny has enjoyed making films of various genres since his Sophomore year in high school. Motivated by the pleasure he found in creating films and the act of telling stories, he and a few friends quickly created a production company called Purgatory Productions. During college, he took a year off to direct music videos and commercials in San Francisco for the music label APG Records. Currently 22, he is now finishing his degree at U. C. Santa Cruz where he is studying film.

The Film

Stalemate is a glimpse into the world of a collage of characters whose lives breeze past each other, their paths intersecting, often without notice, until they ultimately collide. Stalemate is a character drama speckled with action, comedy and a love story. It has been shown at the Bare Bones International Film Festival, the Santa Cruz Film Festival and the Hollywood Underground Film Festival. At the Hollywood Underground Film Festival, Kenny Meehan and Noah Harald won the Rising Star Award for their ambitious directing. Stalemate has also been accepted into the Beverly Hills Film Festival as well as the Hollywood Underground Film Festivals in both London and Munich. Stalemate is a guerilla film shot with a truly independent spirit that must be seen, felt and experienced to be truly understood. We are currently seeking U.S. and foreign distribution for the film.
